Kids Celebrate Blue Ribbon Day!

On Tuesday, November 24th, May Watts kids will be celebrating our Blue Ribbon award with special activities at school.  There will be freeze pops, games, stories and more!  We hope that your kid has a blast on this special day.  There are 2 ways that YOU can help!

1.  Send your kid to school in May Watts clothing or wearing something BLUE that day.  It’s going to be a May Watts Spirit Day.

2.  Moms and Dads, come and be a part of the fun!  You can help in the LMC, Gym or lunchroom with all the fun activities we have planned.  We will have a shift from 9:15-10:45 for K, 1st and 5th.  And a shift from 1:30-3:30 for 2nd, 3rd and 4th (this shift will also include a short assembly).  Use the link below to let us know when and where you’d like to participate!

Fall Book Fair – Volunteers Needed

The Fall Book Fair is just around the corner, November 30th-December 8th, and we need volunteers to help make it a success. Please take a look at the Sign Up Genius link for days and times you are available to help.

Some examples of the help we need are: volunteers to help set up the book fair, assist Kindergartners and 1st Graders in creating wish lists, ring up sales and help pack up the fair. These spots are in addition to the people who are normally scheduled to work the LMC during the week.

Thank you for your help!

Holiday Shop

Happy gingerbread man and jelly cubes in a candy bowl

It’s that time of year again…. The May Watts Holiday Shop is right around the corner!  The students LOVE this event and can’t wait to shop for their family and friends! Volunteering is such a fun time, watching the kids pure joy at finding the perfect gifts!

We are in need of quite a few volunteers to make this another successful year.

The dates of the shop are December 7th to the 11th, from 10:15- 1:45 during lunch.  Each lunch shift will offer shopping opportunities to 2-3 classrooms.  You are welcome to sign up for the shift when your child will be shopping OR for a shift when you know your child won’t be there.

Your volunteer time could include; set up, assisting students in finding recipient appropriate gifts, checking out and taking money, putting gifts in gift bags or restocking.  Each shift is 2 hours but any time you have available is appreciated.  If you need a shorter shift, leave a comment with the amount of time you can offer.  If you have more time available, feel free to sign up for multiple shifts.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

MW Fundraising

We are coming to the end of our Kids Stuff Coupon Book sale.  Thank you to those who have purchased a book and to the families who have made a donation.  If you have not done so already, please consider buying one copy for your family.  There are so many valuable coupons the book will pay for itself in one trip to the store.  Please know we are very close to our goal and your purchase is important.  If this fundraiser is not for you please return the book to your child’s teacher as soon as possible as we have to return these books to the publisher.

You shop.  Amazon gives.

Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to May Watts School PTA whenever you shop on AmazonSmile.  AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service.  Support MW this holiday season by starting your shopping at
